How Chief handles your conversations.
Plain answers about where your data goes and who controls it. The legal version is our privacy policy; anything this page doesn’t answer goes to a person, not a form.
Nothing joins your call
Chief listens from your own device. No bot enters the meeting, nothing appears in the participant list, and the choice to record — and to tell the people you’re talking to — stays yours. The meeting detector never opens your microphone; it only notices that a call has started and offers to help.
Where your data lives
Your conversations are stored and processed in the UK or EU where possible, and your meeting records live in your account until you delete them. If a team can review its members’ meetings, everyone invited is told so up front. Retention and the rest of the legal detail are set out in the privacy policy.
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your conversations are never used to train third-party models.
Nothing sent without you
Automation drafts replies and fills records in your own accounts, one action at a time, with your approval before anything is sent or saved. Auto-accept is off by default, and warns you before it’s turned on.
Ask us anything
Security questionnaires, data-processing questions, or anything this page doesn’t cover: support@gochief.net.
If your organisation needs SSO or additional security controls, we can support these through an enterprise contract — email support@gochief.net to talk it through.
